Today was a bit of a letdown. It has been over 200 days since I last enjoyed a full Sunday slate of football. Maybe there was too much build-up? It could have been the poor performances of my fantasy football teams. The early games were pretty boring. The Las Vegas Raiders are a boring 1-0 in the young season, so there is that I guess.

Want to know what is not boring? Hockey season! We are less than a month from the puck drop at T-Mobile Arena!

Last season’s Stanley Cup Final loss left Panthers’ forward Anton Lundell hungry.  Are the New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup contenders? Is Carter Hart on the move? Pearl Jam and Chris Chelios were key parts of my childhood. Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder made a special announcement on Thursday night.

Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas Hockey Now: In case you missed it, VHN picked sides on ESPN’s point projections.

NHL News & National Hockey Now:

Florida Hockey Now: Florida’s playoff hopes were on life support in late March. Lundell ended a scoring drought on March 29 and the Panthers went on a six-game winning streak. Lundell is ready to carry that momentum into next season.

New Jersey Hockey Now: The core is in place. Winning a round in last year’s playoffs gave the players valuable experience. Does that make the Devils Stanley Cup contenders?

Chicago Hockey Now: Hart did two key things that could indicate he is on the move.

Detroit Hockey Now: Vedder brought Chelios on stage to announce that his number will be retired in February.
