Midway through the first period of the Vegas Golden Knight's Tuesday afternoon game against the Winnipeg Jets, defenseman Danii Miromanov scored his first NHL goal.

At the end of his shift, Reilly Smith cut into the Jet's zone and circled back to wait for reinforcements. He found Miromanov, who scored from the blue line to tie the game at one.

Miromanov was nonchalant about scoring. Perhaps Mark Stone and Paul Cotter will have to teach him how to celebrate a goal.

The Golden Knights are down three defensemen, with Alex Pietrangelo out for personal reasons and Shea Theodore and Zach Whitecloud out with lower-body injuries.

The team called up Miromanov on Dec. 1, and the 25-year-old has played in six games this season. The undrafted Russian was second on the Henderson Silver Knights in scoring before being called up.

Miromanov almost had a second point Tuesday in the second period. His shot beat Connor Hellebuyck's five-hole and slowly trickled out near the side of the net. Chandler Stephenson was unable to capitalize on the loose puck.

Miromanov is currently playing on the Golden Knight's second pairing with Brayden McNabb.
