Daily Nuggets: Golden Knights Awards, Updated Playoff Odds

The Vegas Golden Knights are still in a race for the top spot in the Pacific Division as, despite their win last night, the Edmonton Oilers are still chasing them in the standings. The VGK have one game remaining on the regular season on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against the Seattle Kraken on the road.

Signing: The Golden/Silver Knights have signed goaltender Jesper Vikman to an entry-level contract.

PWHA: The Golden Knights nominee for the 2023 Masterton Memorial Trophy is Phil Kessel, for his dedication to hockey. Kessel won the award in 2006-07 after his return from testicular cancer. This time, the storyline revolves around his still-going Iron Man record of 1,000+ straight games.

Winnipeg: The Winnipeg Jets held on to the last Wild Card spot in the West and are not officially in the playoffs. This eliminates the Nashville Predators' playoff chances. 

Edmonton: The Edmonton Oilers also won their game in overtime against the Colorado Avalanche, which still gives them a shot at the division title.
