The Vegas Golden Knights will wrap up their season-high seven-game homestand tonight against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. Elsewhere in the NHL, former Golden Knights are getting injured, coaches are being mistreated, and brothers are running into each other.

It was a great sight to see Friday morning as Make-a-Wish eight-year-old Anabelle Hanson signed a one-day contract with the Golden Knights and general manager Kelly McCrimmon. She joined her new teammates on the ice, made Logan Thompson look like a shooter tutor, and pounded the snot out of Keegan Kolesar. She will be in attendance tonight at the Golden Knights game at 7:00 p.m. Let's all give her a warm welcome to T-Mobile Arena.

Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas: The Golden Knights are in a rut, and a lot of issues that have had all season are becoming even more apparent without Mark Stone.

Injury Updates: Good news on the injury front, Shea Theodore, Brett Howden, and maybe even Zach Whitecloud could return soon.

Sunrise: The jerseys that Logan Thompson and the Western Conference will wear at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game have been revealed.

Vegas: Have you ever noticed this thing about Logan Thompson that separates him from 99.3% of all goalies in the league?

Carolina: Terrible news for former Golden Knights Max Pacioretty, as he has once again torn his Achilles and has been placed in IR.

Clip of the Day: In the middle of the Vancouver Canucks mess sits head coach Bruce Boudreau, who has been aware of the rumors about his potential firing. The fans are on his side, and chanted, "Bruce, there it is," in the Canucks Friday night game against the Colorado Avalanche.

NHL News, Trade Rumors, and National Hockey Now

San Jose: The San Jose Sharks have reportedly allowed other teams to talk to Timo Meier about a potential extension after a trade.

Meanwhile, Pierre LeBrun thinks the Sharks will trade Erik Karlsson by fall, and JD Young thinks that the Sharks will lose a Meier trade.

Minnesota: Is another defenseman on the trade block? The Minnesota Wild have scratched Matt Dumba these last two games.

Vancouver: Talks continue to heat up regarding an inevitable Bo Horvat trade.

Buffalo: The Sabres have sent Ryan Miller's no. 30 to the rafters at KeyBank Center. Very deserving.

Pittsburgh: Pretty funny moment here as brothers PO and Mathieu Joseph get "Twincidential Minors."
