Construction.

We all hate it and for the next couple of weeks, Vegas Golden Knights fans will have to deal with it on their way to T-Mobile Arena.

The Nevada Department of Transportation's I-15 Tropicana Project, which will expand the lanes on the Tropicana interchange to allow more cars, will begin construction tomorrow. Given its close location to T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip, traffic concerns have arisen.

In an official statement, the Vegas Golden Knights stated that they" encourage fans to arrive early and stay late for games. With some closures, fans' typical routes to the arena will not be available… The Tropicana Project will have a major impact on many fans traveling to games at T-Mobile Arena, beginning with the VGK games on January 19 & 21, 2023."

The VGK have two games remaining on their current season-high seven-game homestand. They will play the Detroit Red Wings Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and the Washington Capitals on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. After that, the VGK embark on a six-game road trip.

NDOT has released the following map of rough estimates on which roads, ramps, and lanes will be closed. Plan accordingly.

Here's a projection of what the project is expected to look like when finished. Drive safe, everyone.
