Vegas Golden Knights Will Pick 29th Overall In 2020 Draft
When Anthony Cirelli scored at 13:18 of overtime Thursday night to send the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Stanley Cup Final, it had a ripple effect for the Vegas Golden Knights.
With the loss, the Ottawa Senators now own the 28th overall spot originally held by the New York Islanders as part of the J-G Pageau trade. Vegas will pick 29th overall and has a total of five draft picks for this year’s NHL Entry Draft.
Round 1 of the Draft will take place on Tuesday, October 6 and Rounds 2-7 on Wednesday, October 7.
Previous first-round draft picks by the Vegas Golden Knights are Peyton Krebs (#17 – 2019), Cody Glass (#6 – 2017), Nick Suzuki (#13 – 2017) and Erik Brannstrom (#15 – 2017).
