A couple more news items today regarding the Vegas Golden Knights.
From Practice: Captain Mark Stone did not skate with the Golden Knights Thursday morning at City National Arena. Head coach Bruce Cassidy stated that Stone took a maintenance day. Against the New York Rangers Wednesday night, Stone was cross-checked from behind by Ryan Lindgren and also was hit by a puck.

Cassidy eased any worries about Stone stating that he would likely play Friday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
"Maintenance day for him; I anticipate he will play. He got cross-checked pretty good. That is a sensitive area if you have ever played; there's not a lot of padding up there. I think he got hit with a clearing attempt, too," said Cassidy.
Reminder: An FYI that the Golden Knights will wear their reverse retro jerseys tomorrow at home. They are 0-1 in the jerseys so far. This is the second of eight times the jerseys will be worn. The rest are as follows.
Dec. 17 vs. Islanders, Dec. 31 vs. Nashville, Jan. 7 vs. Los Angeles, Jan. 14 vs. Edmonton, Jan. 16 vs. Dallas, and Jan. 21 vs. Washington.
Prospect Watch: 2022 5th-round pick by the Golden Knights, Patrick Guay, has been called up to the Henderson Silver Knights from the Savanah Ghost Pirates. The 20-year-old center had 20 points in 16 games with the Ghost Pirates of the ECHL.
World Juniors: We'll likely do a separate post on this, but with 2023 World Junior Championship rosters starting to form, there are some Golden Knights prospects who will likely be playing in the tournament.
2021 first-round pick Zach Dean (F, Canada), 2022 second-round pick Matyas Sapovaliv (F, Czechia), 2021 fourth-round pick Jakub Brabenec (F, Czechia), 2021 seventh-round pick Carl Lindbom (G, Sweden) are likely candidates to play in the tournament.
In the 2022 World Junior Championships, which were played in the summer due to COVID-19, three Golden Knights participated in the tournament: Sapovaliv, Lindbom, Jakub Demek, and Lukas Cormier, who won Gold with Team Canada.
Five members of the current Golden Knight's roster have won Gold at the World Juniors; Jack Eichel, Brett Howden, William Karlsson, Alex Pietrangelo, and Shea Theodore.
