That's four Vegas Golden Knights goaltenders injured for those who are counting at home. It's certainly not the best time for this to happen as the team enters the stretch run leading up to the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
With Adin Hill now dealing with a lower-body injury, the Golden Knights have recalled Jiri Patera on an emergency basis to back up Jonathan Quick as the team continues its current five-game road trip. This season with the Silver Knights he has played in 27 games and posted a .916 sv%.
Hill missed practice yesterday and head coach Bruce Cassidy said the team would make a decision regarding their goaltending this morning. Here we are. The Golden Knights did not have a morning skate in Tampa this morning and will play the Lightning at 4:00 p.m. at Amalie Arena.
The VGK are currently also without Logan Thompson and Laurent Brossoit also due to lower-body injuries. Robin Lehner is out for the season. Alo injured are forwards Mark Stone, Will Carrier, and Nicolas Roy.
