SUMMERLIN— The Vegas Golden Knights have worn their shining gold helmets for the last two morning skates at City National Arena. All signs are pointing towards the team wearing them at home for their Wednesday night game against the Arizona Coyotes.

The team has not won a home game in regulation since Nov. 23 and are 8-9-0 at home. They have scored less than three goals in their last six home games. Perhaps the switch to the Gold helmets for a few games will give the team a superstitious spark to perform better.

"It's a good little switch up from the norm… It definarely gives a different look for us any time you get to throw on a new jersey or a new helmet its kind of refreshing," said forward Jake Leschyshyn.

The Golden Knights introduced their Gold helmets in Feburary of 2021, with many fans expressing their opinions on them.

"They're pretty cool. I think they look pretty good with the gray," said forwards Jonas Rondbjerg, who also wore shiny gray helmets with the Henderson Silver Knights.
