Vegas Golden coach Bruce Cassidy isn’t asking for perfection in Game 6, just something closer to it than he has witnessed recently.

‘We have another level. I believe that,” Cassidy said. “But you gotta do it. ”

After winning the first two games, the defending champion Golden Knights have lost three in a row. Vegas hasn’t been able to score more than two goals in any of the last three games.

Execution or lack thereof, particularly in the neutral zone, has been the story of the past three games.  Vegas needs Mark Stone and Tomas Hertl to find a higher level.

“That’s been our Achilles heel in this series — they have got more chances off our turnovers than we have gotten off their turnovers,” Cassidy said.

Consistency will rule Game 6, even as the Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup odds take a hit.

“We just haven’t done it long enough and well enough,” Cassidy said. “So that’s what’s in front of us.  We have to be more consistent for 60 minutes. Nobody plays a full 60 minute game. It doesn’t happen in this league, even in the playoffs We have to get closer to that. Get over the hump.”
