Golden Knights Injury Update
Golden Knights Recall Goaltender, Defenseman Before Road Trip

On Wednesday, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that they had recalled goaltender Carl Lindbom and defenseman Jaycob Megna from the Henderson Silver Knights. This recall comes before the team leaves for a three-game East Coast road trip.
Carl Lindbom, 22, is off to a great start with the Silver Knights. He has a record of 1-0-1, an average save percentage of .958, and one shutout in two games played. Last season, he put up incredible numbers— an 18-15-3 record, .912 SV%, and three shutouts— behind one of the worst teams in the AHL.
Lindbom’s recall probably means bad news for starting goaltender Adin Hill. Hill exited Monday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes after a gruesome-looking non-contact injury. He had to be helped off the ice and did not return.Â
Unfortunate injury aside, Lindbom earned this call-up. He could see NHL action as early as this weekend, when the Golden Knights play a back-to-back against the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning.Â
Jaycob Megna, 32, is now in his second stint with the organization. Although he spent a year in the organization, Megna hasn’t yet played a game for the Golden Knights. He played for their former AHL team, the Chicago Wolves, during the 2019-20 season and wore an ‘A.’
Last year, Megna drew into eight games with the Florida Panthers, but primarily played for their AHL affiliate. He played 64 games for the Charlotte Checkers, scoring two goals and recording 16 points. In 193 career NHL games, Megna has scored four goals and recorded 27 points.
