Vegas Golden Knights vs San Jose Sharks AWAY Gameday Graphic

The Vegas Golden Knights (0-0-1) play the second game of a season-opening back-to-back. They’re in search of their first win of the season after losing their home opener in a shootout. They’ll face the San Jose Sharks (0-0-0) in their season opener at SAP Center.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST.

The Golden Knights were in action last night at home against the Los Angeles Kings. They started slow, but clawed their way back into the fight and erased a multigoal deficit. However, they proceeded to blow a multigoal lead of their own and ultimately fell in the shootout. My observations here:

Adin Hill started last night for the Golden Knights, so it’ll be Akira Schmid’s net today. Schmid has a record of 0-1-0 and an average save percentage of .706 in one career game against the Sharks.

Alex Nedeljkovic starts tonight for the Sharks. He has a record of 1-1-0, an average save percentage of .933, and one shutout in three career games against the Golden Knights.
