Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 5: Do Or Die, Latest Injury Updates; Lines, Notes, & How to Watch

On Wednesday, the Vegas Golden Knights play a must-win Game 5 and will attempt to save their season. They’ll host the Edmonton Oilers at T-Mobile Arena.
The stakes are simple: win, and force a Game 6 in Edmonton. Lose, and they’ll go through the handshake line on home ice.
Puck drop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PST.
In Game 4, the Golden Knights came out flat. The Oilers struck less than two minutes into the first period and never took their foot off the gas. No one could solve Stuart Skinner, and the Oilers rolled to a 3-0 victory.
Adin Hill was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate. Hill has a record of 5-5 and an average save percentage of .876 in ten games this postseason.
Stuart Skinner starts in goal for the Oilers. After a 23-save shutout in Game 4, Skinner notched his first win of this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has a record of 1-3 and an average save percentage of .857 in four games this postseason.
Brayden McNabb, Alex Pietrangelo, Brandon Saad, and Mark Stone are all game-time decisions.

Golden Knights Game Notes
When an NHL team falls behind 3-1 in a series, they advance to the next round just 9.1% of the time.
Per Ken Boehlke of SinBin.vegas, the Golden Knights do NOT expect Mark Stone to play tonight. Brandon Saad, who missed shifts during Game 3, is likely done for the series.
The Golden Knights’ depth has been stunted offensively this series. If that doesn’t change tonight, their season will come to an end.
Connor McDavid is on an eight-game point streak this postseason. He has two goals and 13 points over that time frame.
Evander Kane has two goals and four points this series.
The Golden Knights have a Game 5 record of 8-8. The Oilers have a Game 5 record of 26-18; in the last eight years, that record is 6-3.
