Vegas Golden Knights vs Edmonton Oilers HOME Gameday Graphic

On Thursday, the Vegas Golden Knights will try to right the ship and even the second-round series at one win apiece. They’ll host the Edmonton Oilers at T-Mobile Arena.

It’s hard to call Game 2 a “must-win,” but with the Golden Knights having already lost home-ice advantage, that’s how tonight feels. Going into Edmonton down 2-0 isn’t a death sentence, but it certainly feels that way.

Puck drop is just after 6:30 p.m. PST.

In Game 1, Mark Stone gave the Golden Knights an early 2-0 lead. However, the Oilers quickly responded, and the VGK seemed to sit back to try and defend their meager one-goal lead. Leon Draisaitl scored the equalizer early in the third period, and Zach Hyman scored the game-winning goal with 3 minutes left in the third period. The Oilers took Game 1 by a score of 4-2.

Adin Hill will start in goal. Hill has a record of 16-9-0 and an average save percentage of .919 in 26 career postseason games.

At the other end of the rink, Calvin Pickard starts for the Oilers. Pickard has a record of 6-1-0 and an average save percentage of .898 in nine career postseason games.
