Four wins down. Twelve to go. On Tuesday, the second-seed Vegas Golden Knights will continue their quest to reclaim the Stanley Cup. They’ll host the sixth-seed Edmonton Oilers at T-Mobile Arena.



Puck drop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PST.

The Golden Knights closed out their playoff series against the Minnesota Wild last Thursday and have been off since. Mark Stone and Jack Eichel played their best games of the postseason so far, and Adin Hill shut the door. The WIld mounted a late comeback, but the Golden Knights held on to take Game 6 by a score of 3-2.

The Oilers have been off since eliminating the Los Angeles Kings from the playoffs last Thursday. The teams traded goals early, but the Oilers blew the game open in the second period and withstood a late Kings comeback to win 6-4.

Adin Hill will get the start against the Oilers. Hill has a record of 3-1-0 and an average save percentage of .934 in five postseason games against the Oilers.

The Oilers turned to Calvin Pickard in their last series against the Los Angeles Kings, and he’ll get the start in Game 1. Pickard has a record of 5-1-0 and an average save percentage of .900 in eight career postseason games.

Golden Knights Game Notes

The Golden Knights are locked into a second-round playoff matchup against the high-flying Edmonton Oilers for the second time in three seasons. In their first meeting in 2023, they beat the Oilers in six games and outscored them 22-19.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy officially ruled Pavel Dorofeyev OUT for Tuesday’s contest against the Oilers. Dorofeyev has resumed skating and is considered day-to-day.

Jack Eichel has three goals and nine points in six postseason games against the Oilers.

Ivan Barbashev has three goals and three assists in six postseason games against the Oilers.

Connor McDavid has five goals and five assists in six postseason games against the Golden Knights.

Leon Draisaitl has six goals and seven points in six postseason games against the Golden Knights.
