Golden Knights Mailbag: Trade Deadline Edition

The Trade Deadline is exactly one week away, and things are quiet. Too quiet. It’s like the entire league– Vegas Golden Knights included– is collectively holding their breath, waiting for that first domino to fall. 

There has been no shortage of rumors surrounding the Golden Knights. They’ve been linked to several players, including Brayden Schenn, Brad Marchand, and Mikko Rantanen. If history is any indication, the Golden Knights are usually fairly aggressive, which typically goes well for them.

This year is particularly interesting. The Golden Knights are missing William Karlsson and Shera Theodore, creating two big holes that aren’t easy to fill. And they don’t have many tradable assets, as their next first-round pick is not until 2027. But I’m sure General Manager Kelly McCrimmon will get creative– that’s just what he does.
