Daily Nuggets: Oilers Pushing For Pacific; Blockbuster Trade Shocks League

The Vegas Golden Knights won on Thursday, but yesterday’s loss indicates they’re not quite off the schneid. The Golden Knights have been first in the Pacific Division for most of the season, but that’s in jeopardy today. Elsewhere in the Daily Nuggets, while the Golden Knights allowed three goals in the second period, the Colorado Avalanche were saying au revoir to Mikko Rantanen.

Despite an incredible game from Jack Eichel, the Golden Knights lost last night after a brief stretch of bad play in the second period. 

Alexander Holtz was reassigned to Henderson. The former seventh-overall pick had three goals and seven assists through 46 games this season. 

On January 8th, the Golden Knights had a stranglehold on the Pacific Division. Today, they can be dethroned with an Edmonton Oilers win.

The shoe drive is still ongoing. Fans can donate new or gently used shoes at the team’s practice facility until Wednesday, January 29th.
