Golden Knights Gameday
Golden Knights Game 46, Stop Feeling Blue; Lines, Notes, & How to Watch vs Blues

The Vegas Golden Knights (29-14-3) have mercifully concluded their three-game road trip. They lost all three in regulation, with two of those losses coming against bottom-three teams in the league. The Golden Knights have lost five of their last six games. They’ll look to rebound today as they host the St. Louis Blues (22-21-4) for a matinee matchup at T-Mobile Arena.

The Golden Knights penalty kill struggled mightily during Sunday’s 5-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Victor Olofsson scored the game’s first goal– the 100th in his NHL career– but Chicago potted the next three. Tomáš Hertl scored twice to tie the game, but the Blackhawks pulled ahead and held on to win.
The St. Louis Blues lost to the Utah Hockey Club on Saturday. They enter today’s game three points out of the playoffs.
Ilya Samsonov started Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks, so I expect to see Adin Hill in net today. Hill has a record of 2-2-0 and a .893 save percentage in four career games against the Blues.
The Blues have not yet named a starting goaltender. Jordan Binnington is 8-4-5 with a save percentage of .916 in 18 career games against the Golden Knights. Joel Hofer has never played against the Golden Knights.

Golden Knights Notes
The Golden Knights have had some striking similarities in their last two games. In both games, they scored first, allowed the next three goals, and took a penalty with the goaltender pulled for the extra attacker.
Tomáš Hertl is riding a five-game point streak. He has four goals and five assists in that time frame. Shea Theodore has a four-game point streak with a goal and five assists.
Alex Pietrangelo, who led St. Louis to their first Stanley Cup in 2019, will face the Blues today for the 15th time. He has two goals and ten assists in 14 games against the Blues. Ivan Barbashev has a goal and four assists in five games against his old club.
Mark Stone is a point-per-game in 27 career games against the Blues. Jack Eichel has nine goals and five assists in 16 career games against St. Louis.
The Golden Knights are 16-9-2 against the Blues. The Golden Knights won their first meeting in October by a score of 4-3 and went 2-0-1 in the season series last year. They’ve recorded a point in the past six games against St. Louis and will look to extend that streak today.
