LA: The Los Angeles Kings came back late to force overtime against the Edmonton Oilers and then won with Alex Iafallo's goal.
Boston: Both Tyler Bertuzzi and Alex Lyon stole the show in game one between the Bruins and Panthers, but only one won.
Carolina: The Carolina Hurricanes won game one of the battle of Sebastian Aho, beating the Islanders 2-1.
