Golden Knights Roundup: Stone Takes Line Rushes, New Combinations

The Vegas Golden Knights held their first postseason practice Saturday morning at T-Mobile Arena in anticipation of their first-round series against the Winnipeg Jets. There were a couple of pleasant surprises, such as both Mark Stone and Zach Whitecloud skating with the team and participating in line rushes. Adin Hill also tended one of the nets, with Jonathan Quick and Laurent Brossoit also being present.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy had the following to say regarding Stone and Whitecloud.

"We don't know yet (if they are available for game on). But if there they are, we wanted to practice them in the line or the D pair that they would play in. Obviously, Whitey (Whitecloud) has played a lot of hockey with Haguer (Nicolas Hague), so to me that's a pretty seamless transition back into the lineup," said Cassidy on Whitecloud.

"With Mark it's the ongoing process. He was in a blue sweater the other week as non-contact and now he's been cleared for contact. So we're going to put whith Stevie (Chandler Stephenson) who he has played a lot with to see where it goes. If he's not available, it's a pretty easy switch to put Phil (Kesse) back in with that line," said Cassidy on Stone.

Will Carrier, Kaedan Korczak, and Logan Thompson were not at practice. Teddy Blueger, Pavel Dorofeyev, and Paul Cotter were spotted wearing blue jerseys, likely signifying that they will be scratched in game one.
