The Vegas Golden Knights couldn't manage a goal in the final two periods of their Tuesday night game against the Nashville Predators despite controlling most of the play. They lost in overtime 3-2, with Cody Glass scoring the game-winner on the powerplay.

The VGK will now travel back home to play the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Here's what head coach Bruce Cassidy, forward Chandler Stephenson, and defenseman Alex Pietrangelo had to say after the loss.

Bruce Cassidy

On the overall game

"They were more urgent than us early on, and the younger legs, I think, helped them in the back-to-back. We found our legs in the second and started competing and were really good. But there were pockets of good and pockets of not good enough. At the end of the day their special teams outbattled ours, and that ended up deciding the game."

On getting points

"When you play, you play to win. I think our guys are good at that. We have found ways to win, so we are not worried about what we did yesterday. We play to win every game, and we have done well on the road. I think this is disappointing that we had such a good second and couldn't generate in the third."

Alex Pietrangelo

On the overall game

"I thought we controlled the whole game there. Even the first wasn't too bad, they get a couple, and we are down 2-0, but I thought we controlled the pace of the game the whole game. Sometimes it is just not meant to be… I don't think we can go home super disappointed."

On the current schedule

"It's a pretty ridiculous schedule that we have had lately, and now we have the big one on Thursday against LA, then we get back on the plane and play an afternoon game 48 hours later. It has been a grind here this last little bit."

Chandler Stephenson

On his health

"It's always tough when you are out and watching the guys play but it was nice to get one back. I'm feeling a little bit better and hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better going into Thursday."

On Kevin Lankinen

"Their goalie played awesome. He did what he was supposed to. We couldn't beat him for a while and he made a lot of saves that probably should have been goals."
