Canadian hockey icon Howie Meeker has passed away at the age of 97. A Calder Trophy and Stanley Cup winner as a player. A head coach and general manager. A beloved commentator. And even a Member of Parliament while playing for the Leafs. Meeker has so many career moments that stand out – one of which being the primary assist on Bill Barilko’s 1951 Stanley Cup-winning overtime goal. There will never be another Howie Meeker.
